About

An independent national rebate research tool

NationalPowerRebates.com exists because the U.S. energy-efficiency rebate landscape is fragmented across federal, state, and utility programs — and most homeowners are leaving thousands of dollars on the table because they don't know what they qualify for or how to stack programs together.

We are not the IRS, the U.S. Department of Energy, ENERGY STAR®, or your state energy office. We are not a contractor, manufacturer, or utility. We do one thing: we research and aggregate every rebate program available to U.S. homeowners and present them in one place, organized by state, by upgrade, and by federal program.

What we do

  • Track all 50 state energy offices and the way each is rolling out the federal HOMES and HEAR programs.
  • Catalog the rebate programs offered by every major investor-owned utility, municipal utility, and electric cooperative in the United States.
  • Maintain plain-English explanations of every federal energy tax credit (25C, 25D) and DOE rebate program.
  • Connect homeowners with licensed installers in their state when they're ready to actually purchase qualified equipment.

What we don't do

  • Sell your contact information.
  • Take a cut of your rebate.
  • Make claims about specific dollar savings — every home and program is different.
  • File your taxes for you (always work with a licensed tax preparer for federal credit claims).

How we make money

When a homeowner is ready to install qualified equipment, we may refer them to licensed contractors in their service area. We're transparent about that — your information is never shared without your consent and is never sold.

Editorial standards

Every rebate amount, eligibility threshold, and program deadline on this site is sourced directly from the issuing organization. When programs change — as they frequently do — we update the relevant pages. Page-level "last updated" dates are visible at the top of each program detail page.
